Hello. I'm thinking of coming in November with wife and child. Do the villa come with air con, and are the insects very bad that time of year? Thanks.

Hi no none of our villas need AC - as we are in the mts where temperatures are mild. Yes there are always some insects around butterflies, ants, bees thankfully.

Beautiful
Peaceful, tranquil and stunning. Everything was created around nature. The food at the restaurant was exceptional. Was everything we needed after some weeks in busy Bali! The staff were very friendly and we’re also very accommodating; fitting us in for a last minute massage. During dinner they also had traditional Balinese instruments playing

Amazing ecolodge near the rainforest supporting community and environmental projects
Amazing luxury ecolodge right in the slopes of Mount Batukaru run by a Balinese-adopted Australian family. Beautiful houses and architecture. Natural swimming pool, plus river pools. Being in the middle of nature, just jungle sounds. The best is all the community and environmental projects the lodge supports with the income they get, plus projects to preserve the rainforest. The restaurant serves delicious dishes and exquisite desserts. It was a bit out of our budget but for a few nights it was a dream to be there.
The only downside for us is that we went there specifically to walk in the rainforest, and from the lodge there are no paths to walk. We booked the 3-hour rainforest trekking, but actually you spend just half hour really in the rainforest; most of the time you walk through plantations or road. So better take a longer trek. Also you can not walk on your own, you will be convinced to take a guide.

Absolutely fantastic stay - a peaceful stay in stunning rainforest, with easy access to hikes, swims, waterfalls and the restaurant which had some of the best food we ate in bali. Thanks for a beautiful stay.
